I wanted to give you an update on your system that I purchased from you about three weeks ago.

I bought it on a whim because my performance review was coming up and I knew it would be good.

During the review I made a point of noting all of my positive feedback, and then used all of their statements as reasons why I should get a raise. They did not give me everything I asked for, but I did negotiate extra days off, just like you suggested!
